September 19, 2015 UPDATE:

2015 has been a challenging year for me here at Desmond Guitars.  I have had many things to deal with other than making fine classical guitars.  I have a 96 year old mother who is in decling mental and physical health.  I have also been dealing with a reoccurring electrical heart issue, AFib, and on July 27th went into the hospital for an Ablation procedure which was supposed to fix the problem.  Unfortunately, complications occurred which led to a frozen Phrenic Nerve, and an incomplete Cryo Ablation procedure as well as groin surgery to repair a Pseudoaneurysm caused by bad surgical technique!  Basically, everything that could have gone wrong went wrong!  All of this said, I have regained my good health and am pretty much back to normal.

I spent a good part of the last 10 months repairing and restoring as many as a dozen fine classical guitars.  I also restored one 1860's steel string Parlor guitar.   All of this repair and restoration work set me way behind in my own guitar making, but I am back on track and building 5 beautiful new Desmond concert guitars.

So, that's what is new here at Desmond Guitars.  Two new guitars will be finished soon and photos will be posted.  Another 3 new guitars are well under construction and will be coming in a few months.   So check back for updates.

Best regards,

Robert B. Desmond
